LEE NYQUIST

Retired NH Attorney New Boston Town Moderator for 34 Years

“It is time to end cost-shifting and give property taxpayers the relief they deserve.”

I'm Lee Nyquist and I am asking for your support for State Representative. I  want to change decades of Concord downshifting the State’s financial obligations to the towns. The downshifting has made property taxes unaffordable.

Education is a core value for me. Our children and teachers deserve responsible state funding. Our State Constitution requires that the State must fund an adequate education. I will  work to assure that this obligation is met, not shifted to the property taxpayer.

Civility and bi-partisanship are core values for me. I will work with Democrats and Republicans to enact good legislation, and not advocate for partisan ideologies.

I've lived in New Boston for decades, and been married to my wife, Leslie Nixon, for 43 years. Together, we've worked joyously to raise five children in New Boston, our finest achievement. We experienced the grief of losing our son, Cliff, to a tragic drowning accident when he was only fifteen.

I've been an attorney and legal leader in our State. I've been New Boston Town Moderator for 34 years, running its elections and Town Deliberative meetings. My roots are in NH District #42. I want to preserve and protect our New Hampshire values. Thank you for your consideration.

Regards, Lee Nyquist, Candidate for State Representative, Hillsborough District  #42
